About us
Named after history's great Muslim traveller
In the 1600s, Evliya Çelebi spent around forty years travelling the Ottoman world and wrote it all down in his ten-volume Seyahatname, the Book of Travels.
We started Evliya in 2024 to create the kind of trips we wanted to go on ourselves: great places, meaningful Muslim history and good company, with the planning taken care of.
Every trip is led by two Evliya group leaders who travel with the group from start to finish.

Do people come alone?
Yes, many of our travellers join solo. The social side of the trip is something we put a lot of thought into, so people settle in quickly.
Who usually joins?
Mostly young Muslim professionals, though other ages join us too. Groups are mixed, with both brothers and sisters.
How do rooms work?
Rooms are twin-share with another traveller of the same gender. A single room is available for an extra charge.
How does payment work?
A £100 non-refundable deposit secures your place. Pay the rest in instalments, with the full balance due 5 weeks before departure.
Are flights included?
No, you book your own flights. Each trip page lists the recommended flights so you arrive and leave with the group.
What's included in the price?
It varies by trip, and each booking page has the full list. On Tunisia, for example, it covers your hotel, breakfast and dinner, private transport, airport transfers, guides, entry fees and two Evliya group leaders.
Are the tours Muslim-friendly?
Yes. Itineraries are built for Muslim travellers, with halal-friendly food and time for prayer throughout.
What if I need to cancel?
- More than 5 weeks before departure: no extra charge (the deposit isn't refundable)
- Within 5 weeks of departure: 50% of the total trip cost
- Within 3 weeks of departure: 100% of the total trip cost
